Planned for a 2023 opening, East River will include 110,000 square feet of retail at the ground floor of the office buildings, garage, plaza and bayou pavilions.īroham Fine Soul Food & Groceries, a venture of James Beard Award nominated Chef Jonny Rhodes, will occupy a 4,000-square-foot space in The Depot on the ground level of the garage. The store will sell locally sourced seafood and meat, produce, bread, cheese and specialty condiments. Rhodes, owner/chef of the former Restaurant Indigo who grew up down the street from the East River site, will sell produce from his Food Fight Farms in Cleveland. Lick Honest Ice Cream, an Austin-based shop founded by Anthony Sobotik and Chad Palmatier selling artisan ice cream made from locally sourced ingredients, will open in a 1,124-square-foot space in East River 1 (Building C). URBN Dental, an eco-friendly dental practice that is expanding in Houston, leased 2,612 square feet in The Depot.Īdditional tenants in East River’s phase one include Method Architecture, Teal Construction and a new event venue and rooftop bar from the owners of The Astorian. Reformation, a Los Angeles-based sustainable fashion brand founded by Yael Aflaro, will enter Houston with a 2,400-square-foot store at 1001 California within Montrose Collective in early 2022.
